Named after the Guras, the Himalayan rhododendron, our house draws inspiration from a bloom that arrives briefly yet unapologetically across Nepal’s high mountains. It colours stone, snow, and sky with a fleeting intensity before retreating. In this delicate defiance, we find our guiding truth: softness is not fragility, it is endurance, expressed gently.
Maison Guras gathers creations born of mountain flora, women’s hands, and centuries-old Himalayan sensorial traditions. These are objects shaped by care of texture, warmth, breath, and presence. This is our house of bloom: where craft is ceremonial, femininity is wise, and everyday objects carry emotional weight.

The Collection
Khastos (Dauhars)
Our khastos, traditionally known as dauhars, are crafted from the finest mulmul cotton and printed in ancestral Nepalese motifs that speak softly of home. Constructed with three breathable layers, they regulate body temperature across seasons: cooling in summer, gently insulating in winter, and offering ease in shifting indoor climates.
Light, generous, and deeply familiar, a khasto is an everyday companion meant to wrap, rest, and return to, again and again.
Infant & Children’s Wear
Rooted in Himalayan caregiving traditions, our infant and children’s garments are made with reverence for softness and simplicity.
For newborns, the traditional Bhoto Set, a three-piece ensemble, offers warmth without restriction, allowing gentle layering and ease of movement. Designed for a baby’s earliest days, it reflects a time when clothing was an extension of care itself.
Our range extends into contemporary silhouettes, swaddles, burp cloths, and nightwear for children up to five years, each piece crafted from breathable mulmul and designed to support rest, comfort, and quiet play.
Cashmere Stoles & Shawls
Our winter offerings are crafted from exceptionally fine Nepalese cashmere, chosen for its ability to warm without weight and soften without excess.
Light, fluid, and breathable, these stoles and shawls are designed to endure, moving seamlessly between home, travel, and moments of pause. Colours and prints are restrained, allowing the material itself to speak.
